Accessing data using your copy of ferret

DODS allows one to give a application a url and have it directly download data. To read this data into ferret use 
set data "http://kmddl.meteo.go.ke:8081/SOURCES/.Features/.Political/.Kenya/.kenya_wards/subcounty/1+index/.subcounty/2+index/.county/dods"
If ferret refuses to read the file, saying 
** netCDF error: Invalid Argument
 is this a CDF file ?
